If you are big fans of Chip and Joanna Gaines and their super popular TV show, Fixer Upper, you know that they have been involved in renovating the Silos in Waco. Well, the moment we have been waiting for is finally here. The Grand Opening for the Magnolia Silos is happening October 30, 2015 at 8:30pm (Doors Open at 7:30 pm).
We first got wind of the Silos in Season 2 and quickly found out this would be one of Chip and Joanna’s biggest Fixer Uppers. After receiving a nice tax incentive from the Waco City Council the project got traction to convert the aging complex into Magnolia Market. The project will cost over a million dollars. The plans are to have an entertainment stage, a food truck area, and of course a store to purchase souvenirs and furnishings. They faced challenges with the city concerning the massive 120ft silos, but city officials consented to let them stand.
The Grand Opening is not a free event. Tickets range from $35 to $200 VIP passes. The event should be a lot of family fun. There will be a lot of food trucks and entertainment. Sorry, only the VIP folks will get to see Chip and Joanna. For more information about the Grand Opening and to purchase tickets go here.
I have to hand it this couple, they made their dream come true. I’m sure it has been very hard work and even though TV makes everything look super clean, I’m sure there were sacrifices.
